We are WR Fundraising Recruitment and we are thrilled to partner with one of the UK's most respected medical organizations in their search for a dynamic Director of Development. As the Director of Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's future by leading and inspiring the fundraising team to achieve ambitious goals.

As the Director of Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving the organization's fundraising efforts, as you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to secure significant donations from individuals, trusts/foundations, and corporate partners. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with the development board on planning an exciting new multi-year fundraising campaign.

Alongside your strategic work, you’ll also work with your own portfolio of international donors, strengthening ties and increasing engagement, whilst acquiring new Major Gift supporters.

Your work as Director of Development will be instrumental in ensuring that the organization achieves its ambitious fundraising goals and continues to support its mission of improving patient care!

Duties will include:

Developing and implementing an innovative new multi-year fundraising campaign
Securing major gifts from Corporate partners, Trusts and Foundations, and Major Donors
Developing and implementing a robust and sustainable fundraising strategy
Cultivating relationships with High Net Worth donors, including internationally
Leading, inspiring, and developing the fundraising team
Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on income generation

The ideal candidate will:

Have substantial experience of securing 6-figure gifts from Major Donors, Corporate partners, and/or Trusts and Foundations
Be an accomplished networker, capable of building long-standing partnerships
Have experience of developing and implementing robust fundraising strategies
Be an inspiring and motivational line-manager
Have experience of influencing and negotiating, both internally and externally, at senior levels
