WR Fundraising Recruitment is delighted to be working with Refugee Council again in their pursuit of a new Fundraising Marketing Officer.

We are looking for an experienced Individual Giving  / Direct Marketing professional who is looking for an amazing opportunity to work with a growing marketing and fundraising department.

This is very much a marketing project manager role where we’re looking for someone with the skills, knowledge and experience to manage fundraising marketing campaigns across various channels including: Direct Mail, Digital, Social Media, PPC, telephone fundraising and F2F.

You will have the opportunity to be part of a highly supportive fundraising and direct marketing team to develop campaigns based on your interests and strengths, testing new campaigns and managing budgets / ROI.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Be the main point of contact for the day-to-day execution of assigned projects
• Manage the day-to-day development and execution of individual giving campaigns to generate repeat gifts and grow income
• Working closely with external agencies and freelancers to best effect
• Overseeing the scheduling and coordination work in relation to appeals, events and fundraising activities
• Research and recommend ways of improving donor / supporter acquisition & retention.
• Manage the day-to-day production of materials and communications, ensuring all messages are on brand
• Lead productive project team meetings for relevant projects and campaigns.

The Ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Experience of working on direct marketing / individual giving campaigns, regular giving / supporter acquisition or donor retention
• Specialist knowledge of direct marketing best practices with the ability to apply theory and experience to grow income.
• Knowledge of a range of direct marketing techniques associated ROI expectation
• Highly knowledgeable of database marketing, the importance of ensuring data integrity and data protection laws incl. GDPR
• Experience of working in a fundraising and/or direct marketing role with good knowledge of direct response across multiple channels including digital
