Are you heading towards Interview Burnout? – Take a minute…

Interview burnout is a state of exhaustion and frustration that can occur when someone is going through the job interview process. It can be caused by a number of factors, including:

  • The stress of preparing for interviews
  • The anxiety of being evaluated by potential employers
  • The feeling of being constantly on the go and having to meet new people

Symptoms of interview burnout can include:

  • Feeling tired and unmotivated
  • Feeling irritable and stressed
  • Having difficulty concentrating and trouble sleeping

If you are feeling at risk of interview burnout, there are a few things you can do to cope:

  • Give yourself enough time to prepare for interviews. Don't try to cram everything into the night before
  • Take breaks during the interview process. Don't try to schedule interviews back-to-back
  • Talk to a friend or family member about how you are feeling

It is important to remember that interview burnout is a temporary state.
