Relationship Fundraising Manager

Guildford with flexible & hybrid working | £32,000 - £34,000 per annum (pro rata for part time) | Full Time (part time considered), Permanent

WR Fundraising Recruitment is delighted to be working again with Oakleaf Enterprise – an inspirational organisation providing a range a mental health support programmes ranging from counselling to wellbeing activities and so much more across Surrey and the wider area.

 

It’s an exciting time for Oakleaf’s fundraising team and we have a newly created role available for an experienced fundraiser, looking to develop their career with major donor fundraising.

 

The charity has an emerging major giving income stream and we’re looking for an experienced fundraiser to join the team and work closely with a brilliant Head of Fundraising to develop relationships with individual donors and generate ongoing support for Oakleaf’s brilliant work.

 

This is a wonderful role for a seasoned relationship fundraiser looking to develop their career in Major Donors.

Expectations for the role are realistic and it offers a brilliant opportunity to develop and mould major giving for the charity.

 

On top of this exciting development role, there’s the opportunity expand your skills further and dip into supporting Corporate Partnerships and investigate the plausibility of legacy fundraising over time

 

Duties will include:

  • Manage relationships with individual supporters, generating income from donors (focusing on major donors)
  • Manage recruitment, stewardship & retention of individuals supporters with a goal of long-term support
  • Develop & implement a major donor strategy alongside the Head of Fundraising
  • Undertake tours of Oakleaf at our HQ or outreach venues to individual donors to show impact of giving
  • Maximise opportunities for individual supporters to attend Oakleaf events
  • Research, formulate introductions & approach new prospects
  • Manage a communications plan for donors

 

Suitable candidates will have:

  • Relevant professional fundraising experience with a proven track record of effectively managing individual relationships (perhaps in the community, with corporate partnerships or with major donors)
  • Strong interpersonal and networking abilities; adept at building rapport quickly with people from a wide range of backgrounds
  • Experience of building and managing a portfolio of both ongoing and new relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage various audiences
  • Excellent time management, project planning skills & ability to work independently
