We are WR Fundraising Recruitment and we are delighted to be working with one of the country’s most prominent and well-loved animal charities, who are looking for a skilled and passionate fundraiser to take the role of Senior Philanthropy Manager!

Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, and line managing a team of 3, the Senior Philanthropy Manager will take the lead on cultivating and acquiring new high value donors as well as maintaining a mixed portfolio of trusts, foundations and major donors.

A confident and skilled communicator, you’ll be equally at home approaching new prospects, stewarding existing donors, or inspiring your colleagues to success.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a fundraiser who is confident in working with 5 and 6 figure donations to really make their mark on Philanthropy within a high-profile, national organisation.

Duties will include:

• Developing innovative strategies to cultivate and steward high-value donors, both individuals and trusts
• Building and nurturing meaningful relationships with High Net Worth individuals, trusts and foundations
• Securing major gifts from a personal portfolio of high value individuals, trusts and foundations
• Overseeing high value cultivation opportunities and events
• Leading and developing the Philanthropy Team

The ideal candidate will:

• Have demonstrable success in securing major gifts (5 and 6 figures) from individuals, trusts, and foundations
• Have the ability to engage a wide range of high value audiences, both verbally and in writing
• Have the ability to support the Head of Fundraising and contribute to overall strategy
• Have experience of building stewardship journeys for mid and high value supporters
• Have experience of leading and developing a team of fundraisers to succeed
